An OEM/ODM project with Furley Bioextracts runs in six stages, from your first brief to finished goods packed under your brand. Timelines and quantities depend on the product category and format, so each project is quoted individually.
Key takeaways
- Six stages: brief, consultation, samples, quotation, production, packing.
- OEM uses your formula. ODM includes our formulation work.
- Production runs under ISO 13485 and FSSC 22000 systems.
- Quantities and timelines are quoted per project.
1. Brief
You tell us the product type, target market, format (sachet, canister, tube, bottle or other), ingredients or claims in mind, and your timeline. Use the checklist on the contact page.
2. Consultation
We review formulation options and which regulations apply: NPRA for health supplements and cosmetics in Malaysia, the Medical Device Authority for medical devices, and food safety rules for food products. We flag issues before you commit to packaging.
3. Samples and approval
For ODM we develop or adapt the formulation. For OEM we work from your specification. Samples are checked for appearance, mixability or texture, and stability where relevant, and you approve before production.
4. Quotation and agreement
Pricing, order quantities and responsibilities are agreed in writing, including quality and change-control terms.
5. Production and quality control
Manufacturing runs under our certified systems: ISO 13485 for medical device consumables, and FSSC 22000, GMP and HACCP for food-grade products, with checks and batch records at each stage.
6. Packing and delivery
Finished goods are filled, labelled and packed under your approved brand and packaging, ready for distribution.

Process questions
What is the difference between OEM, ODM and private label?
OEM means we manufacture to your specification. ODM means we also develop the formulation. Private label (house brand) is the result: the product is sold under your brand, not ours.
How do I start a project?
Send your brief (product, format, target market, claims and timeline) to [email protected] or call +603-8724-3280. We then consult on formulation and regulatory requirements, develop samples, agree a quotation, and move to production, quality control and packing.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It depends on the product category and packaging format, so we quote per project once we have your brief.
